You wouldn't drag yourself to your desk job for free, would you? If you found yourself accused of a crime you didn't commit, would you hire the $10 per hour attorney, or the $300 per hour one? Hiring an artist isn't quite as crucial, but it could mean the difference between making a statement with your product, and being ignored.
